Our Heritage

Rooted in Vedic Wisdom

Founded in 2021 by Vaidya Arjun Nanda, Arjun Veda is a beacon of authentic Ayurvedic healing, carrying forward a 200-year-old legacy inspired by Vaidya Hakim Manohar Lal Bakshi Ji. Our mission is to make Ayurveda the preferred path to wellness worldwide, using only the purest, handcrafted aushadhis.

Our journey begins in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, the sacred "Land of Acharya Charak." From the pristine forests and Himalayan foothills, we source raw herbs with reverence, honoring the timeless principles of Acharya Charak. Each formulation is a testament to our commitment to purity, crafted to deliver health and harmony to all.

Today, Arjun Veda produces over 100 meticulously crafted medicines for our patients and fellow Vaidyas. Our remedies reflect the essence of authentic wellness, bridging ancient wisdom with modern needs to support your healing journey.

We work closely with classical scholars and field botanists to ensure every batch respects both Shastra and ecology. From soil to shelf, our goal is simple: medicine you can trust, prepared the way it was meant to be prepared.

Whether you are beginning your Ayurvedic path or deepening a lifelong practice, we invite you to experience formulations that honor the Rishis — and serve the realities of modern life.

Our Sacred Purpose

Ayurveda as a way of life, not merely medicine

At Arjun Veda, we believe Ayurveda harmonizes body, mind, and spirit with nature's rhythms. Our purpose is to make this ancient wisdom accessible and relevant in today's world.

We are committed to preserving the authenticity of Ayurveda while addressing contemporary health challenges — bridging the ancient and modern worlds through rigorous research, ethical sourcing, and traditional preparation methods.

Every product we create carries this sacred intention: to restore balance and promote holistic wellness, as envisioned by the Rishis who first revealed this knowledge.

We also invest in education — workshops, written guides, and transparent labeling — so that Ayurveda remains a living science in your home, not a mysterious bottle on a shelf. Health, in our view, is a daily relationship with nature, not a one-time purchase.

The Science of Life

Why Ayurveda still matters today

For over 5,000 years, Ayurveda has guided humanity toward balance — not by suppressing symptoms, but by restoring the root of health.

Root-Cause Healing

Ayurveda does not merely mask discomfort. It studies your unique constitution (Prakriti), current imbalances (Vikriti), and lifestyle — then works to correct the underlying disharmony of Doshas.

Personalized Wellness

No two bodies are the same. Vata, Pitta, and Kapha combine differently in each person. Our formulations honor this individuality rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions.

Mind–Body–Spirit Unity

True health includes mental clarity, emotional steadiness, and spiritual alignment. Ayurveda treats the whole being — Agni (digestive fire), Ojas (vital essence), and the subtle channels of consciousness.

Nature as Medicine

Herbs, minerals, and seasonal rhythms are the pharmacy. From Himalayan Shilajit to Amla harvested under specific lunar phases, every ingredient is chosen for its Rasa, Virya, and Vipaka.

From Earth to Elixir

How every Arjun Veda formulation is born

We follow classical Shastra methods while meeting modern purity standards — no shortcuts, no synthetic fillers.

01

Sacred Sourcing

Herbs are collected from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, organic farms in Kerala and Madhya Pradesh, and high-altitude Himalayan belts. We partner only with growers who respect soil health and traditional harvest windows (Ritu).

02

Muhurta & Purification

Raw materials undergo Shodhana (purification) as described in classical texts. Timing of processing often follows auspicious Muhurta, ensuring the subtle potency (Prabhava) of the herb is preserved.

03

Classical Preparation

Chyawanprash is cooked in copper vessels over controlled heat. Shilajit is purified through multiple water washes and sun-drying. Powders are stone-ground where tradition demands it — never overheated.

04

Testing & Integrity

Every batch is tested for heavy metals, microbial load, and active markers. We retain batch records so you can trace the journey of what you consume. Authenticity is non-negotiable.

05

Blessed Packaging

Finished products are packed with care, often after a short period of rest and Sankalpa (intention). Labels remain transparent — ingredients, quantities, and guidance are clearly stated.

06

Your Daily Ritual

We guide you on how and when to take each formulation — morning Agni, seasonal adjustment, or co-administration with warm water, milk, or honey as classical Anupana recommends.

Herb Encyclopedia

The plants that power our formulas

Each herb carries centuries of documented use in Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and living oral tradition.

Amla

Amalaki (Emblica officinalis)

The cornerstone of Chyawanprash. Rich in natural Vitamin C, it supports immunity, digestion, and healthy aging. Classically described as a Rasayana that nourishes all seven Dhatus.

  • Balances all three Doshas
  • Supports Agni and Ojas
  • Harvested in peak season for potency
Ashwagandha

Withania somnifera

The legendary adaptogen for strength, calm, and resilience. Used to rebuild depleted tissues, support healthy stress response, and promote deep restorative sleep.

  • Primarily pacifies Vata
  • Builds muscle and nerve strength
  • Roots processed with traditional milk methods
Shilajit

Mineral Pitch (Asphaltum)

Exuded from high-altitude rocks under summer heat. A natural source of fulvic acid and trace minerals. Revered as a Yogavahi — it carries other herbs deeper into the tissues.

  • Supports energy and stamina
  • Enhances nutrient absorption
  • Purified through classical Shodhana
Shatavari

Asparagus racemosus

“She who has a hundred husbands” — the primary female Rasayana. Supports reproductive health, lactation, cool Pitta, and overall vitality in both women and men.

  • Cooling and nourishing
  • Supports hormonal balance
  • Organic cultivation, rapid processing
Guduchi

Tinospora cordifolia

Also called Amrita — the nectar of immortality. A powerful immune modulator and detoxifier that clears Ama while strengthening the body’s innate defenses.

  • Tridoshic in action
  • Supports liver and immunity
  • Stem used in classical decoctions
Haritaki

Terminalia chebula

One of the three fruits of Triphala. Called the “king of medicines” for its ability to gently cleanse, improve digestion, and support longevity when used correctly.

  • Vata-pacifying when prepared right
  • Supports healthy elimination
  • Sourced from mature, sun-dried fruit
Know Your Nature

Understanding the three Doshas

Ayurveda begins with self-knowledge. Discover the elemental forces that shape your body, mind, and daily needs.

वायु

Vata

Space + Air

Governs movement, breath, nerve impulses, and creativity. When balanced: enthusiasm, flexibility, quick thinking. When aggravated: anxiety, dryness, irregular digestion, restlessness.

Support Vata with: Warm, cooked foods · Oil massage · Steady routines · Ashwagandha & Shilajit
पित्त

Pitta

Fire + Water

Governs digestion, metabolism, temperature, and intellect. When balanced: sharp focus, strong Agni, courage. When aggravated: inflammation, irritability, acidity, skin heat.

Support Pitta with: Cooling foods · Avoid excess spice · Moonlight walks · Amla & Shatavari
कफ

Kapha

Earth + Water

Governs structure, lubrication, immunity, and emotional steadiness. When balanced: strength, calm, endurance. When aggravated: congestion, lethargy, weight gain, attachment.

Support Kapha with: Light, spicy meals · Daily movement · Early rising · Guduchi & Triphala

Most people are a combination of two Doshas. For a personalized assessment, consult a qualified Vaidya or explore our forthcoming Dosha Quiz.

Dinacharya

Simple daily rituals for lasting balance

Ayurveda teaches that how you live each day matters as much as what you take. These classical habits strengthen Agni and protect Ojas.

Brahma Muhurta

Rise with the quiet hours

Waking before sunrise (roughly 4:30–6:00 am) aligns you with Sattva. Use this time for meditation, gentle stretching, or simply sitting in silence before the world becomes loud.

Jihva & Danta

Tongue scraping & oral care

Scraping the tongue removes overnight Ama and awakens taste buds. Follow with oil pulling (Gandusha) using sesame or coconut oil for oral and systemic cleanliness.

Abhyanga

Warm oil self-massage

A short daily Abhyanga with warm sesame or dosha-specific oil nourishes the skin, calms Vata, improves circulation, and prepares the body for the day. Even 10 minutes helps.

Ahara

Mindful, warm meals

Eat your largest meal at midday when Agni is strongest. Prefer freshly cooked, warm food. Avoid iced drinks with meals. Sit without screens and chew thoroughly.

Rasayana

Your daily formulation

Take Chyawanprash in the morning, Shilajit as advised by your practitioner, or Shatavari with warm milk in the evening. Consistency over months builds deeper results than intensity for days.

Nidra

Protect your sleep

Aim to be in bed by 10 pm. Dim lights after sunset, avoid heavy screens, and keep the bedroom cool and dark. Quality sleep is one of the three pillars of health (along with food and lifestyle).

Vedic Wisdom Questions

Questions, answered with care

What makes Arjun Veda products different from other Ayurvedic brands?

Arjun Veda stands apart through uncompromising authenticity: sourcing herbs from their native regions as mentioned in classical texts, preparing formulations according to original Sanskrit texts with traditional methods, and rigorous quality testing at every stage. Our Chyawanprash, for example, is prepared in copper vessels as prescribed in ancient texts. We work closely with Vaidyas to ensure each product maintains its intended therapeutic efficacy.

How should I incorporate Chyawanprash into my daily routine?

For optimal results, take 1–2 teaspoons every morning on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before breakfast, with warm milk or water. During seasonal changes or increased stress, you may take it twice daily. Use wooden or ceramic spoons, not metal. For children above 5, reduce to half a teaspoon. Consistency for at least 3 months allows the herbs to work systemically. Store in a cool, dry place and use within 3 months of opening.

Is your Shilajit authentic and how can I verify its purity?

Our Himalayan Shilajit is sourced directly from high-altitude (10,000+ feet) rock faces. Authentic Shilajit dissolves completely in warm water without residue, has a distinctive earthy aroma, becomes slightly sticky (not oily) between fingers, and melts and bubbles without black smoke when a pinch is burned. We provide a Certificate of Authenticity with batch-specific lab reports, and purify using traditional sun-drying and wool-cloth filtration.

What precautions should be taken when using Shatavari powder?

Shatavari is generally safe, but consult an Ayurvedic practitioner if you have estrogen-sensitive conditions. Those with Kapha imbalances should combine it with honey or ginger. Traditional dosage is 1/4–1/2 teaspoon twice daily with warm milk or water. Avoid during acute cold/flu with mucus accumulation, and pregnant women should consult their healthcare provider. Take consistently for at least 6 weeks to notice its nourishing effects.

Do you offer international shipping, and how are products preserved?

Currently we ship throughout India, with international expansion planned. Herbal powders are vacuum-sealed with oxygen absorbers, Chyawanprash comes in glass jars with tamper-proof seals, and Shilajit is packed in airtight containers with desiccants. We use expedited shipping domestically. We're unable to ship to countries with strict herbal product regulations at this time — contact us for updates.

Can these products be taken alongside allopathic medication?

Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with pharmaceuticals. We recommend a 2-hour gap between Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines, consulting your physician about specific medications (e.g. Shatavari may enhance hormone therapies), monitoring blood sugar if taking diabetes medication with Chyawanprash, and informing your doctor if on immunosuppressants. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for personalized advice.

How long before I notice results?

Ayurveda works gradually and deeply. Many people notice improved digestion, energy, or sleep within 2–4 weeks of consistent use. Structural and chronic imbalances may need 2–3 months or longer. We encourage patience and pairing products with supportive daily habits (Dinacharya).

Are your products suitable for children and elders?

Chyawanprash is traditionally given to children (in age-appropriate doses) and elders as a Rasayana. Shilajit and concentrated powders should be used under guidance for young children or those with specific conditions. When in doubt, consult a Vaidya or your physician.

Do you use any preservatives, artificial colors, or fillers?

No. Our formulations rely on classical preparation methods and natural stability. Chyawanprash uses jaggery and honey as traditional bases. Powders and resins are pure. Always check the ingredient list on the pack — we list everything.

How should I store Arjun Veda products?

Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Close lids tightly after use. Refrigeration is not required for Chyawanprash or Shilajit under normal household conditions, but extreme heat should be avoided. Use a clean, dry spoon each time.

Can I take more than one product together?

Yes, many classical regimens combine Rasayanas. For example, Chyawanprash in the morning and Shatavari in the evening is common. Shilajit is often taken separately on an empty stomach. If you have a medical condition or take prescription drugs, seek professional advice before combining.

Where are your herbs sourced from?

Primarily from Uttarakhand (Devbhoomi), organic partners in Kerala and Madhya Pradesh, and high-altitude Himalayan regions for Shilajit. We prioritize ecological harvest and long-term relationships with collectors and farmers rather than the cheapest bulk market.
